BALI - PART 2
I may have thrown up on the boat - but I still got my gear on and SNORKELED!
Ooooh man - who else gets sea sick??
Yeah - I thought I’d be fine, but not so much! The boat trip on Day 3 was longer and bumpier than expected. A 45 min ride hammering the waves did take us past some incredible islands and to a few amazing spots though!
What slows you down, doesn’t have to stop you! So after “the incident” lets talk about the snorkeling adventures! We saw blue starfish, turtles, plenty fish - the others saw manta rays on the first dive ;)
Days 4 + 5 at the beach club, the hotel we lounged at had a pool bar where you swim up to it! Freaking loved that!! Some sunburn here and there, but we pushed through and all perfected our yoga skills those nights - I discovered my chaturanga was off cause of my toe placement (defo DM me at @Meghankbrown for the tips!)
REFLECTION and goal-setting was a valuable exercise - we called out highlights and moments people shone. Straight to the PURIFICATION CEREMONY afterward!
MY MAIN TAKEAWAYS - first and foremost revolve around culture and how different our ways of life are. How grateful for all the opportunities I have. A huge realization is that I have the ability to feel like I BELONG in any group, as long as I show up as my authentic self! It’s still hard to refuse to compare ourselves, especially in new and uncomfortable, maybe nervous, settings where we fall into these habits most. Something I learnt to work on especially here in Bali. What an amazing group of women we had this year though!
Business-owners, teachers, we had the wild ones, the nurturing ones….a real bunch of superstars! It’s amazing the bonds you make when you are open, accepting and driven enough to go out into the world and share an experience like this one!
SO: where is your next retreat??? Don’t miss out on all the Team Fearless ones we have - Miami, Nov 2019 is next on our list!
